Acoustics

Adams Acoustics is a part of the Adams® suite of software as a plugin to Adams View. It enables acoustic simulations powered by Actran® to be run after an Adams analysis. The acoustics simulation is based upon the vibrational motion of a flexible body computed in an Adams time-domain analysis. The acoustics simulation predicts the acoustic sound radiation in the far field of the chosen Adams flexible body. Time domain and frequency domain acoustics simulations are supported. The Actran processes to create the acoustic mesh, solve the acoustic model and generate results consumable in Adams PostProcessor are all automated and can be driven exclusively from the Adams View interface, though an Actran installation is required. Users can also choose to manually create or edit their own acoustic meshes for use with Adams Acoustics by using the Actran interface, Actran VI, separately.
