Actran Installation

An installation of Actran is required to use Adams Acoustics. Actran installers are available on the MSC Solution Download Center (SDC) in a similar manner to Adams. Please refer to the Actran product documentation for specific installation instructions.

The Actran installation automatically registers its path via the Actran_Path system variable which Adams Acoustics can detect. So, typically there is no need to register the machine's Actran installation with Adams. If the Actran_Path system variable is somehow missing, then the Actran installation cannot be automatically located by Adams. In such cases, one will need to manually select the installation as shown below:
