Export Assembly to Adams Explore Workbook

(Standard Interface) Tools Explore Export to Workbook
Export a complete assembly or selections thereof to an XLSX workbook file.

For the option:
Do the following:
Workbook Name
Enter the name of the workbook file (.xlsx) to write to.
Target
Database: Select from the list of registered writable databases.
Directory: Use the Select button to browse to the target directory.
Assembly
Select the Assembly to export.
Hardpoints

Add All
Click this to auto-select all hardpoints in the entire assembly.

For each subsystem and testrig in the assembly that contains hardpoints, a toggle-button and a field will be created. In the field any number of hardpoints can be entered. Thebutton will add all hardpoints from the current subsystem into the field.

Parameter Variables

Add All

Click this to auto-select all parameter variables in the entire assembly.

For each subsystem and testrig in the assembly that contains paramter variables, a toggle-button and a field will be created. In the field any number of parameter variables can be entered. Thebutton will add all parameter variables from the current subsystem into the field.
User Defined Elements (UDEs)

Add All

Click this to auto-select all user defined elements in the entire assembly.

For each subsystem and testrig in the assembly that contains user defined elements (UDEs), a toggle-button and a field will be created. In the field any number of UDEs can be entered. Thebutton will add all UDEs from the current subsystem into the field.
Note: Only UDEs having variables in the design parameters vector will have variables exposed in the sheet. If a UDE is selected which has no such variables a message will be given that the UDE is ignored.
Splines

Add All

Click this to auto-select all spline elements in the entire assembly.

For each subsystem and testrig in the assembly that contains spline elements, a toggle-button and a field will be created. In the field any number of spline elements can be entered. Thebutton will add all spline elements from the current subsystem into the field.
Property Files

Add All

Click this to auto-select all property file variables in the entire assembly.

For each subsystem and testrig in the assembly that contains property file variables, a toggle-button and a field will be created. In the field any number of property file variables can be entered. Thebutton will add all property file variables from the current subsystem into the field.
Objectives

Add All

Click this to auto-select all general objectives in the entire assembly.

For each subsystem and testrig in the assembly that contains design objectives, a toggle-button and a field will be created. In the field any number of design objectives can be entered. Thebutton will add all design objectives from the current subsystem into the field.
Analyses
Include Analyses
Enabling this makes it possible to include analyses into the xlsx workbook.
If Include Analyses is enabled, the following options will be available:
Analysis Machine Name/Analysis Machine IP
Enter the network address of the machine on which to run the analyses. The value of the option menu determines if the value of the default address (stored in .axlsx.settings.default_analysis_machine) is evaluated as an ip address or left as is.
Port
Enter the communication network port on the analysis machine.
Use default
Inserts the default analysis machine name or address to the field (depending on which of Analysis Machine Name/Analysis Machine IP that is selected). Also inserts default port stored in .aexplore.settings.default_port.
ACar Launch Command
Enter the system command that will launch Adams Car on the analysis machine. For example C:\Program Files\MSC.Software\Adams/20XX/common/mdi.bat acar ru-sta
Use default
Inserts the default launch command stored in .aexplore.settings.default_adams_car_launch_command
Analysis Mode
Select Interactive, or Files Only.

See Mode of Simulation: Interactive or Mode of Simulation: Files_only.
Leave Files on Server
Select Yes to leave all analysis files on the server. Select No to remove all files but output workbook and .log and eventual .msg files.
Assembly Prepare Script
An Adams command file to run after the assembly is opened.
Pre- and Post-script Dir.
Directory on the analysis machine containing any script to be run prior to or directly after each analysis. A file in this folder will be run PRIOR to an analysis named iso_lane_change_1 (see analysis tab, column C of an exported xlsx file) if it exists with the name iso_lane_change_1_pre.cmd. A file in this folder will be run AFTER an analysis named iso_lane_change_1 if it exists with the name iso_lane_change_1_post.cmd
File Driven Event : This tab will be active if the selected assembly is of type full_vehicle
Append...
Press this button to add the setup of a File Driven Event analysis.
Delete...
Press this button to remove the last entry for a File Driven Event analysis.
For each time the Append... button is pressed, a new tab with the following will be added:
Analysis Active
Select if the analysis should be active or inactive. Inactive analyses will be included in the export, but will not be active for execution.
Driver Control File
Enter an event file from any Adams Car Database. The file contains all the inputs that will be applied to the full-vehicle assembly.
Road Data File
Enter the name of a file that contains road data information. The tire subsystems use this information to calculate the tire/road interaction forces.
Plot Configuration File
(optional)
Enter a Plot Configuration File (.plt) to be applied after the analysis is done.
Note: Plots with more than two axes are not supported. Only the curves belonging to the first two axes will appear in the .xlsx file.
