Setup Model Simplification Tires
Converts any tire property file to a PAC2002 tire property file with reduced functionality to reduce simulation times.

For the option:
Do the following:
Select Tire
Tire Property File
Select the tire property file that want to convert for making the tire – road contact modeling faster. The menu lists all the used tire property files in your assembly.
Tire Model
Shows the tire model (format) name of the selected tire property file
Model Type
Select what type of dynamic tire response is desired. The options listed below:
No transient
Transient
Belt Dynamics
The selected tire model needs to cover the selected type. For example, a standard PAC89 model will not show the Belt Dynamics option.
Contact
Select type of contact model in between the tire and the road:
One Point (default)
3D Enveloping Contact, for covering short wavelength obstacle impacts (time consuming).
Tire Data and Fitting
Tire Data Fitting Tool
To launch the Tire Data Fitting Tool for converting the tire property file to a PAC2002 tire property file with the setting from page 1.
PAC2002 Options
Number of Cams
Specify the number of cams used by 3D Enveloping in longitudinal and lateral direction (separated by a comma). A Default setting and a High Performance setting (less cams) can be defined.
Contact Threads
Specify the number of threads that can be used by 3D Enveloping contact. A Default setting and a High Performance setting can be defined.
Road Spacing
Specify the road grid size to be taken by the 3D Enveloping contact. A Default setting and a High Performance setting can be defined.
Local Tire Solver
Specify if the tire states should be calculated by the tire model itself (local solver) or by the Adams Solver (via GSE). A Default setting and a High Performance setting can be defined.
Save
Saves the converted tire property file with the default name: <original tire property file name>_PAC2002.tir in the working directory of Adams Car.
Save As
It will save the converted tire property file with your specified name and path.
Replace Tires in Assembly
If checked, during ‘Save’ or ‘Save As’ the original tire property file in your current Assembly will be replaced with the converted tire property file.
Use HP mode
If checked, and if the original tire property file in your current Assembly will be replaced with the converted tire property file, the High Performance use mode will be switched on.
