Special requirements to run Marc

The ACSI 2016 and later versions require a workaround for the case of Adams models co-simulating with Marc versions 2014.2 and 2015. Marc 2016 does not require this workaround.

When using the ACSI 2016 and later versions require along with Marc versions 2014.2 or 2015 proceed with the following workaround. (We assume a general case of a co-simulation of Adams with an EDEM model and one or more Marc models.)

First, create the configuration scripts using valid syntax as described in this document. This configuration script will be used for the Adams model and the ACSI executable. If the co-simulation model includes an EDEM model, place the EDEM process block at the end of the script. For clarity's sake let's name this script the standard script.

Second, make a copy of the standard script and let's name it the modified script. Using your text editor load the modified script and (a) remove the EDEM process block if any; (b) remove all execution_command and working_directory options. Save the modified script.

Third, setup your Adams model to use the standard script and setup the Marc models to use the modified script. Launch the ACSI executable and specify the standard script.
