Create/Modify Span Request for Roller and Silent Chain

Creates or modifies span requests for chain. The dialog box has two modes:

For the option
Do the following
Chain Part(s)
Enter the database name of a chain/span part that defines the location of the output request.
Reference Part
Enter the database name of a part to be used as the reference frame of the output request.
Motion Average
Select to specify that displacement, velocity, and acceleration results should be based on the average of the three closest span/links.
Force Average
Select to specify that force results should be based on the average of the three closest span/links.
Use the Create Chain Span Request(s) dialog box to create requests on chain spans for Roller and Silent chains. A chain span request outputs the chain results at a specific point in space, which is defined by the initial position of a chain span part.
The requests will return the following results:

Roller and Silent Chains
y_displacement
Transverse displacement of chain relative to the reference position
x_velocity
Local chain velocity
y_velocity
Transverse velocity of chain relative to the reference position
x_acceleration
Local chain acceleration
y_acceleration
Transverse acceleration of chain relative to the reference position
tension_force
Local chain tension
tangential_force
Tangential force component on the chain
radial_force
Radial force component on the chain
The x-direction is defined as parallel to the chain path, and the y-direction perpendicular to the chain path. The results are based on the span closest to the reference position unless you select average results. Then the results are based on the three closest spans.

Note:
You cannot use these requests for a constrained-type chain.
