Overview

The Adams FE Part can handle situations involving extreme deformations using minimal number of elements. Unlike the formulation with the existing BEAM statement, the FE Part formulation takes distributed mass and stiffness into account. Contact is an important part of simulation. To show the contact capability using the new FE Part, a simply supported beam is impacted by a rectangular block. The end supports are also modeled by contacts. In this way, three contact statements are defined in the model.
