Manually Converting Adams Machinery Objects to AT Objects:

■The Romax to Adams (R2A) translator creates Adams Machinery Gear and Bearing components. To include detailed microgeometry and to add more flexibility, R2A generates cgd (cylindrical gear definition) and .cgp (cylindrical gear property). These files contained detailed gear definitions included within the Romax model.

■The Gear AT and Bearing AT plugins under the Machinery tab in the Adams View ribbon can be used to generate detailed gears for use in Adams for higher fidelity modeling.

■It is recommended to use Hexagon’s MSC Nastran for generating modal neutral file (mnf) files for flexible bodies.
