New Assembly Variant

Setup → Manage Variants → Create Assembly Variant             Shared Dialog Box
Creates a new assembly variant based on subsystems from an existing assembly. You may change the assembly class, testrig, etc.
 
For the option:
Do the following:
Assembly Name
Select the assembly you want to close. The menu lists all open assemblies.
Select one of the following options: New Variant, Existing Variant
New Variant
Select if you want to create a new assembly variant
Existing Variant
Select if you want to update the definition of an existing assembly variant.
Subsystems
Select which subsystems you wish to include in the new/updated assembly variant.
Testrig Class
Select the type of assembly variant:
■Suspension
■Full-vehicle
■Actuation
■Component
■Steering
Testrig
Select the testrig you wish to include in the assembly variant.
