Modify Parameter Variable

Modifies a parameter variable. Learn about Parameter Variables.
 
For the option:
Do the following:
Parameter Variable
Enter the database name of a parameter variable.
String/Real/Integer
Enter a value for the parameter variable. Make sure that the value is of the same type as the option displayed. For example, if the option is Integer, enter an integer value.
If you are modifying a parameter variable of type real, your template-based product displays the following option:
Units
Displays the unit specification of the real parameter variable. You cannot modify the unit.
Symmetric
Enabled when you modify component pairs (or brothers):
■yes - Modify properties of both components in a pair.
■no - Only modify properties of the selected component.
When you modify a single component, this option is disabled because a single component is by nature asymmetric.
Select to display a dialog box where you can add multi-line comments to any entity, to describe its purpose and function. Your template-based product displays different comments dialog boxes, depending on the entity type for which you want to record comments:
■If recording comments for modeling entities in Standard Interface, your template-based product displays the Entity Comments dialog box.
■If recording comments for any other entity type, your template-based product displays the Modify Comment dialog box.
