Notes on Using ViewFlex with Template-Based Products

Working on a template-based product entails that the ViewFlex input (AFI) file belongs to a template. The AFI file belonging to one template cannot be loaded from within a different template - a warning message appears.
The AFI file must be associated with the template to preserve the parameterization of hard-points (centerline and attachment). Having an AFI file related to a template makes it possible to check hard-point locations and perform all the operations to relocate hard-points and other characteristics.
In order to use an AFI file with a different template, the AFI file has to be edited and the template name changed. The correspondence between the current template and the content of the AFI file has to match.
If the ACAR_ATTACHMENTS and/or ACAR_CENTERLINE blocks are deleted from the AFI file, ViewFlex creates new hard-points automatically to satisfy the location data defined in the AFI file.
Adams Car distributes AFI files as examples in a directory in the shared car database.
