Permanent Magnet Electromotor

In Emag AT one can define electric motor for detailed modeling of driving or breaking torque and corresponding excitations from magnetic forces acting on rotor, stator and or housing structures. The first step is to input all electromotor parameters in the definition step of Emag AT preprocessing. All parameters and references to all required data are stored in property file ( *.EMP) which is used as input for magnetic force and FEM models preprocessing. Next step is to generate electromagnetic force file (*.EMF) and run Nastran SOL 103 to generate MNF files for rotor and stator parts required for building up Adams model. The electromagnetic force excitation is derived from provided results made in dedicated 3rd party software. The structural components of the motor main components rotor and stator are provided in form of Nastran FEM models. The data-flow is illustrated in Figure 3
