Modal Neutral File (MNF)

A modal neutral file (MNF) is a binary file that defines a flexible body (see Flexible bodies) in Adams Flex. The information in a MNF includes:

■Geometry (locations of nodes and node connectivity)

■Nodal mass and inertia

■Mode shapes

■Generalized mass and stiffness for mode shapes

By default an MNF is platform-independent, however, you can obtain a platform-dependent MNF, which can improve flexible body animation performance in the Adams products.
