Modifying Flexible Bodies

There are two types of modification for flexible bodies created by ViewFlex.
The first type of modification is common to all flexible bodies in Adams, ViewFlex generated or not, and is accessed by right-mouse Modify or Edit-Modify. For more information and steps see the Flexible Body Modify dialog box and Changing Modal Content section.
The second type of modification is specific to flexible bodies created by ViewFlex. This is the scenario where one would like to change the ViewFlex parameters used to originally create the flexible body. To do so, launch ViewFlex from the Ribbon (Bodies tab, Flexible Bodies container, ViewFlex button ). In the Load AFI file field, browse to select the AFI file representing the original flexible body creation.

Note:
An AFI file is written to the working directory every time ViewFlex is run. This will update the ViewFlex dialog box with the values corresponding to that ViewFlex run. From there one can modify those settings and regenerate the flexible body, that is, you can change the mesh properties, number of modes, material, attachment node locations, and more.
