Suspension Analysis: Compliance

(Standard Interface) Simulate Suspension Analyses Compliance

For the option:
Do the following:
Suspension Assembly
Select the Suspension Assembly you want to analyze. The menu lists all suspension assemblies currently open in your session.
Note: This event is not supported for testrig __MDI_TASA_TESTRIG.
Assembly Variant
Select the assembly variant you want to analyze. The menu lists all suspension assembly variants of the chosen assembly.
Switches to the selected variant and adds the required testrig as needed.
Output Prefix
Enter a string that specifies the Analysis Output Name. The string can contain only alphanumeric characters and underscores (_). Adams Car appends the suffix _com to form the complete analysis name. For example, if you enter test_45 as the output prefix, the analysis name becomes test_45_com.
Solver Settings File
Select one or more files (extension .ssf) defining the solver settings to be temporarily applied for this simulation (optional).
Note: Solver settings files are applied in the order specified, so if multiple .ssf files contain the same solver settings, the last file in the list determines those settings.
Opens the Solver Settings File (extension .ssf) editor dialog box.
Number of Steps
Enter an integer value that corresponds to the number of Solution Steps for the duration of your analysis.

For example, if you specify 500 solution steps for duration of 5.0 seconds, your output step size will be 0.01 seconds.
Mode of Simulation
Select interactive, background, graphical, files or event only.
Vertical Setup Mode
Specifies the vertical control method at time=0. Vertical setup will be performed with either the wheel center height or the contact patch height moved to zero. For more details, see Adding the vertical setup mode of Adams Car Suspension Testrig.
Select one of the following:
Wheel Center - Represents the load applied at center of the wheel.
Contact Patch - Represents the load applied at point of contact between the tire and the road.
Wheel Fixed Height
Enter value for the wheel vertical displacement. The actuation forces will be applied at this suspension position.

Default value is 0.0.
Forward Long. Force at WC
Enter value for the forward longitudinal force, applied at the wheel center.
Rearward Long. Force at WC
Enter value for the rearward longitudinal force, applied at the wheel center.
Forward Long. Force at CP
Enter value for the forward longitudinal force, applied at the contact patch.
Rearward Long. Force at CP
Enter value for the rearward longitudinal force, applied at the contact patch.
Lateral Force at CP
Enter value for the lateral force, applied at the contact patch.
Aligning Torque at WC
Enter value for the aligning torque, applied at the wheel center.
Lateral Force Offset
Enter value for the lateral force offset or pneumatic trail that used in Aligning Torque calculation.
Steering Lock
Select one of the following:
Steering Wheel Lock - To lock steering wheel rotation
Rack - To lock rack travel
Select to display a dialog box where you can add multi-line comments to any entity, to describe its purpose and function. Adams Car displays different comments dialog boxes, depending on the entity type for which you want to record comments:
If recording comments for modeling entities in Standard Interface, Adams Car displays the Entity Comments dialog box.
If recording comments for any other entity type, Adams Car displays the Modify Comment dialog box.
Learn about Recording Comments.
Select to display an Alignment dialog box where you can set toe, camber and caster alignment values.
Create Event Log File
Select if you want Adams Car to write information about the assembled model and analysis to an Analysis Log File.
