Introduction

The Chain tab contains the Sprockets for closed loop chain configuration, Sprockets for open loop chain configuration, Chain and Actuation icons.

To access the Chain tab from the Adams View:

■Launch Adams View interface.

■Select Chain tab from Adams Machinery ribbon tab.

■Clicking the Sprockets for closed loop chain configuration, Sprockets for open loop chain configuration, Chain and Actuation icons would launch the corresponding creation wizard.

Notes:

■Currently no more than 10 chain systems are allowed in any single model.

■Modelling of Adams Machinery Chain Constraint/2D Links/3D Links/Nonplanar methods requires Adams_Machinery_Chain_GUI license. Whereas simulation of Chain 2D Links/3D Links/Nonplanar method requires Adams_Machinery_Chain_Solver license.
