Gear AT Preprocess
From the Gear AT Preprocess drop down menu as shown in Figure 235, you can access all the tools you need to preprocess your bevel or hypoid gear data.

The Gear AT Preprocess has 3 options as mentioned below
Define tooth profile and properties of a bevel or hypoid gear | |
Create Nastran mesh and geometry file for display in Adams. This preprocessing step is identical for all gear types. | |
Pre-calculate tooth contact. This is optional to define gear force contact by look-up tables which performs fast during system simulation with little trade-off in accuracy of results. |
